A beautiful challenge on Instagram hosted by the ladies of unterseecafe connected to the ocean life. Each illustration has 3 components:
1) violet + coral + knitting
2) blue + eel + hiking
3) green + manta + tickling

Coral reefs are the oldest ecosystem in the world, they have existed for more than 500 million years.
Corals are cnidarians and live in symbiosis with tiny algae, which give them their beautiful colours. If the sea warms by 2 degrees, these algae produce toxins. To protect themselves, the corals repel the algae and the corals lose their colour. This is called #coralbleaching. If the ocean temperature does not improve fast enough, the corals die.
To save the corals, everybody must actively contribute to climate protection. The easiest way to do this is to reduce your meat consumption, take the train instead of the plane on holiday and avoid plastic.
